Will Britney Spears Appear On Modern Family?

"Extra" correspondent Terri Seymour spoke with the cast of ABC's hit comedy "Modern Family," along with creator Steven Levitan about pop sensation Britney Spears possibly doing a guest appearance.

 Levitan confirmed that Spears was officially asked to be on the show. "By the time we heard from her people we had already [planned] all the episodes for the season. But you never know."

Britney Spears Gets On Path, Which Is Raising Up To $30M At A $250M Valuation

So rumor (and Twitter) has it that singer Britney Spears was at Path yesterday, hanging with founder Dave Morin in their spacious offices — and actually sitting at the Path boardroom table.

The popular popstar has created a Path account, which is sort of counterintuitive as the mobile social network only limits you to 150 friends. This was Spears’, who has over 14 million followers on Twitter, first time visiting Silicon Valley.

Rumor also has it that Path is raising a Series B round of funding, wanting to bring in between $25 million to $30 million at a $250 million valuation. Existing investors and Khosla and Greylock have expressed interest amidst an environment that is producing many high-profile Series B raises.

The company has previously raised a total of $11.2 million in angel and Series A funding from Index Ventures, First Round Capital, Founders Fund, SV Angel, Crunchfund and others. It recently experienced unprecedented scale, due to a successful pivot.

Britney Close To Signing $12-$15Million Deal For X Factor

More reports are coming through that Britney is close to signing an X Factor deal. Simon Cowell wants Britney on the judging panel but the problem is how many series will Britney be signed on for.

A source told HollywoodLife.com: "Money is not an issue for the show. As of now, they are looking to pay her $12-15 million for the first season, with a drastic price hike for a second year based on ratings performance.

"Simon Cowell wants at least a two-year commitment and Britney wants an out clause if she doesn't want to continue after one year of service." 

Auditions have already started and judges will be needed for May.

Britney Rejects $10Million X Factor Offer

Unless "The X Factor" agrees to fork over more money, it seems Britney Spears won't be joining the show's judging panel anytime soon.

The FOX competition series reportedly offered the "Womanizer" singer a $10 million contract to join the second season as a mentor but, according to The Wrap, Spears shut it down in hopes of a much larger counter-offer.

Spears' camp is allegedly looking for $20 million for the singer to appear on the show, a much higher paycheck than former judge Paula Abdul, who earned around $2.3 million during her stint on "The X Factor" last year.

The negotiations with Britney come as producers are desperate to find one more big name celebrity to join Simon Cowell and LA Reid, as auditions have already started with the second season premiere date slated for September 2012.

Spears might be picking the stage over the judging panel as a source close to the singer revealed she is considering a resident performer offer at a Las Vegas hotel in the fall.
